Are you an experienced machine operator with a background in food processing or FMCG? We’re currently looking for a reliable Retort Operator to join a fast-paced and well-established food production facility.
Duties:
- Operate and monitor retort machines (Saturated steam Retorts & Static Steriflow Retorts)
- Role involves operating machinery, handling raw materials, and ensuring production runs smoothly and safely.
- Maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.
- Load and unload packaged food products into the retort system.
- Monitor pressure, temperature, and sterilization time to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Accurately record production and batch data.
- Conduct visual checks to ensure quality and consistency.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Follow all Health & Safety and HACCP procedures.
Skills:
- 6+ months of previous experience in retort operation or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety and processing regulations.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Basic math to calculate weights.
