As a Manufacturing & Quality Support Assistant, you’ll play an important role supporting manufacturing and quality processes across the machine shop. You’ll assist with inspection and measurement checks, material verification, documentation, and general production support. This role works closely with the Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Administration, and Logistics teams to ensure products meet required specifications and quality standards.
This is a support-focused role and is not a senior Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer position. Training and guidance will be provided, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within manufacturing and quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with incoming material checks to ensure materials meet job requirements
• Carry out basic inspection and measurement checks against drawings and specifications
• Support in-process and final inspection activities
• Assist with part counts, documentation, and inspection records
• Identify and set aside non-conforming parts for review
• Support tracking and recording of NCRs under guidance
• Assist with care and tracking of measuring and inspection equipment
• Provide shop-floor support with measurement and production tasks
• Assist with general manufacturing and CNC-related tasks when required
• Follow and promote Health & Safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
Experience
• Some experience in manufacturing or workshop environments
• Exposure to basic quality or inspection tasks (preferred)
• Experience using basic measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, or gauges
• CNC or machining environment exposure is an advantage
Skills
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Practical, hands-on approach to work
• Ability to communicate clearly with both shop-floor and office teams
• Comfortable with basic computer use, emails, and data entry
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently once trained
Qualifications
• No formal qualifications required
